Assisting an Insurance Claim and Restoring a Lightning-Struck Roof

The Problem

In July 2022, Kevin Nicolini experienced a once-in-a-lifetime event: lightning struck his house! The lightning created a hole that went all the way through the drywall of the interior. Chris Rojas was called out to inspect the damage and do an emergency tarp of the hole. While there, Chris discovered additional damage to the roof, including lifted shingles from wind damage, cracked shingles, and exposed, rusting nails that had not been properly maintained.

The Solution

Chris recommended that Kevin file an insurance claim to get the roof replaced as a simple repair on the hole caused by the lightning was not the proper solution. Rojas Roofing also sent in a sample of the shingles and confirmed that they were discontinued, meaning that there would be no match available to attempt a spot repair. Kevin’s insurance originally denied the full claim, giving Kevin only a small amount to do the spot repair. Rojas Roofing took the claim to supplementation, providing evidence that the full roof needed to be replaced. In the end, Kevin’s full roof was approved by insurance!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Extremely satisfied! From initial contact with Rojas to the completion of our new roof every step of the way was excellent. Very professional, great communicators and overall great to work with. Thanks to Austin who was our salesman, to Michael in production and the actual crew who did the roof for an exceptional experience. Thanks too to the office staff who we were in contact with, pleasant, professional and caring.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We got several estimates. However, we wanted local roofers. We chose Rojas. We were not disappointed. These folks were phenomenal. Hard working, focused on detail and safety, these roofers impressed me.
I have a background in construction and know how difficult this job was. We have a 12-12 pitch roof with 4 valleys. Full tear off and clean up in 1 day.

They took pictures and showed us what was going on. They did the repair and were very kind. Great service and company.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I gave a 5 star review because Rojas the whole team was great from start to finish, they treated me like family starting with Larry the sales agent to Micheal the production Mananger and the owner who came out, who I met personally and Louise one of the production crew who said and I quote ( we want to do a good job for our customers) the team cleaned up after themselves and put everything back, I was really impressed, Larry your a good sales agent you didn’t give up on me when I was dragging my feet, good job. May God bless this company and I see great things ahead. Brian

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rojas did my roof (including building a pyramidal hip roof on top of an existing flat roof), gutters, fiber cement siding, and painting. Everything was done very well and professionally and priced very well! Of course there were some minor hiccups along the way with some occasional miscommunications how I wanted things done, as is common with any large renovation project, but everything was taken care of in a timely fashion and the end product was exactly as I had envisioned it. Thanks team Rojas!!!
